The WestJet Group has reached a major milestone this week by successfully completing the integration of Sunwing Airlines.
This achievement, finalized on May 28, 2025, marks two years of dedicated effort, strategic planning, and teamwork.

The integration brings all jet aircraft under a single Air Operator Certificate (AOC). This includes 16 former Swoop aircraft, nine from the now-defunct Lynx Air, and 18 from Sunwing Airlines.
By unifying its narrowbody fleet, WestJet is streamlining operations. Throughout 2025, the airline will reconfigure these aircraft to feature a consistent WestJet interior, ensuring a cohesive onboard experience.
Travelers can look forward to a more diverse range of seating options, including Premium, Economy, Extended Comfort, and UltraBasic, across WestJet’s 150 Boeing 737 aircraft.
