UPSC Civil Services Exam: Free coaching admission dates announced by BHU

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has announced the admission date for its free coaching program for the Civil Services Examination 2023-24. The admission process for the free UPSC coaching is scheduled for December 30, from 9 am to 5 pm. Around 300 students are anticipated to participate in the admission counseling, and interested candidates can find detailed information on bhu.ac.in.

Media reports say that for this session, more than 300 students are expected to attend the admission counseling, with only 100 ultimately securing selection. Invitations have been extended to 147 male candidates and 63 female candidates from the scheduled caste. Additionally, 63 male and 27 female candidates from the OBC category have received invitations. BHU has also invited 10 disabled candidates for the coaching program.

Recognizing the financial challenges associated with UPSC coaching, especially with costs typically exceeding Rs 1-2 lakh, BHU aims to make coaching more accessible for students from marginalized backgrounds. The Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission is renowned for its difficulty level.
