The latest revelation suggests that MediaTek remains resolute in its approach with the upcoming Dimensity 9400 continuing an aggressive architecture. Contrary to expectations of featuring four Cortex-X5 supercores, the Dimensity 9400 will adopt an all-core design, utilizing TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm process.
A recent leak from Digital Chat Station indicates that the Dimensity 9400 is poised to surpass the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 in all aspects. Catering to end customers such as Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi, MediaTek seems determined to establish its dominance in the fiercely competitive processor market.
Speculation surrounding the absence of a low-power core, akin to the Dimensity 9300, adds to the intrigue surrounding the Dimensity 9400. Both processors are set to be built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen4 expected to carry a higher price tag due to the incorporation of its proprietary Oryon CPU architecture.
