Among the recruiters that visited the campus were Microsoft, Fujitsu, Samsung, Reliance, Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Deutsche Bank, Tata Projects and Navi, a statement said.
Companies such as Uniorbit, ICICI Bank, EXL, NPCI, Intel, TSMC, Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, HPCL, SECI, C-DoT and NVIDIA also participated in this placement round.Raju Kumar Gupta, chairperson of Students’ Placement Office at IIT-Kanpur, said the institute is in the process of inviting other companies and startups for the upcoming second phase of placements, which is scheduled to commence in mid-January.The institute has 19 departments, 25 centres and three interdisciplinary programmes in engineering, science, design, humanities and management disciplines with more than 570 full-time faculty members and about 9,000 students.
