Leading Middle Eastern low-cost airline flynas is set to commence weekly direct flights to the capital of Eritrea, Asmara, starting January 17.
This becomes the latest route addition to flynas’ ambitious plans to expand its footprint in the African market.
The endeavor is part of a broader growth and expansion initiative initiated by flynas last year under the inspiring banner, “We Connect the World to the Kingdom.”
Connecting Continents
As part of the National Civil Aviation Strategy, flynas aims to propel itself towards unprecedented heights. The goal is a firm one, and calls for the nation reaching 330 million passengers and welcoming 100 million tourists.
A pivotal aspect of this vision is to augment the number of international destinations linked to the Kingdom to an impressive 250 by the year 2030.
All these efforts are intricately woven into the fabric of achieving the objectives outlined in the Pilgrims Experience Program, ensuring smoother access to the Holy Mosques.
Asmara – Gateway to Eritrea
Commencing operations from Jeddah on January 17, flynas will service this new route with two weekly flights, scheduled every Wednesday and Sunday.
This not only reinforces flynas’ commitment to facilitating travel for pilgrims and visitors but also boosts the current range of travel options available between the two nations.
2023 – Building a Network
Firmly establishing itself as a leading low-cost carrier (LCC), flynas proudly boasts connectivity to over 70 domestic and international destinations.
Having reached a landmark 1,500 weekly flights, flynas has seen a year of proactive network expansion, which will be interesting to observe into the coming year.
The launch of direct flights to Asmara is further testament to flynas’ dedication to facilitating seamless travel as it continues to develop its portfolio of destinations.
