Delta Air Lines and its regional carrier, Endeavor Air, have issued a strong statement refuting what they call “false and misleading assertions” currently being spread online.
False claims are circulating on social media regarding the flight crew involved in the recent crash landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

FO Experience Exceeds Minimum FAA Requirements
Similarly, Delta addressed the misinformation surrounding the first officer. Hired by Endeavor Air in January 2024, she completed her training in April of the same year.
The airlines state that her flight experience exceeds the minimum requirements mandated by U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Delta further clarifies that, like the captain, the first officer’s training record is clear, and the claims of failed training are false.
Both crew members are fully qualified and FAA-certified for their respective positions. Delta and Endeavor Air are committed to transparency and safety and are taking these false claims very seriously.
While the airlines did not release the names of the captain and first officer, their statement aims to reassure the public that the flight crew was highly qualified and experienced.
