This highly anticipated addition was celebrated with a special event at Logan International Airport. It was attended by key figures including Todd Smith (Director of Aviation Operations, Massport) and Felipe Cuellar (Deputy Consul of Mexico in Boston).
Customers on the inaugural flight received commemorative gifts to mark this momentous occasion.

Increased Routes and Frequencies
The JCA’s ambitious plans for 2024 include significant growth. Starting in January, Aeromexico began to introduce 17 new routes from seven Mexican airports, connecting them to nine destinations across the U.S.
This expansion will see increased flight frequencies on existing routes. Overall, it will see the airline operating nearly 60 daily flights to the U.S. by July 2024.
This represents a 35% increase in departures compared to 2023, with Aeromexico present in 36 U.S. markets.
Aeromexico’s increase in routes and frequencies is made possible thanks to its renewed fleet with more than 50 new aircraft, most of them the Boeing 737 MAX.
This is in addition to the previously communicated growth in which Aeromexico will have more than 1,000 monthly flights at Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), starting in October.
Delta will also play a key role, operating 34 daily frequencies to Mexico by July 2024, serving seven different destinations.
More Options, Stronger Partnership
Combined, the Delta-Aeromexico JCA will offer over 30% more seats year-over-year, providing passengers with a wider range of travel options.
By 2024, the JCA will boast over 90 daily flights between Mexico and the United States on nearly 60 routes.
This growth reinforces the cross-border alliance’s commitment to bringing the two countries closer together through a robust network, seamless connectivity, and industry-leading services.
