Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen3 Announced
Following the recent release of the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 chipset, Qualcomm has now unveiled the mid-range marvel, Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen3 chipset, making on-device AI capabilities more accessible.
This latest addition to the Snapdragon lineup boasts a formidable CPU configuration, featuring a combination of a 2.8 GHz Cortex-X4 large core, four 2.6 GHz Cortex-A720 balanced cores, and three 1.9 GHz Cortex-A520 power-saving cores, alongside the Adreno 732 GPU.
What sets the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen3 apart is its utilization of the same architecture and process found in the premium Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset, with adjustments made to core frequency and GPU performance to cater to the lower price segment.
According to Qualcomm’s official claims, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen3 delivers a notable upgrade, with a 15% improvement in CPU performance, a 45% boost in GPU capabilities, and a 5% enhancement in energy efficiency compared to its predecessor.
Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the inclusion of Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, such as the Gaming Post-Processing Accelerator and the Adreno Image Motion Engine 2.0, elevating the gaming experience to new heights. Additionally, the platform integrates an 18-bit cognitive ISP, further enhancing image processing and quality.
